When the Going Gets Tough....

What do you do when you feel discouraged?


In the past I know I would take this as a sign that "oh that's just not the right thing for me" or "I just can't do it" and I'd give up. And then I'd start feeling bad about myself. I wasn't brought up to have faith in myself or to stick at things and dig in when the going got tough.





One day when I noticed that familiar feeling of discouragement creeping in I decided "That's it, from now on I'm cultivating an attitude of perseverance". And that was all it took.


I use this attitude to face my fears and to keep going when the going gets tough. I know I walk taller now with this attitude. It has transformed discouragement, resignation and self doubt into self encouragement, self esteem and inner strength. You can do it too!
